Flights Operated in conjunction with Safarilink

 

Nairobi Flights

All of our scheduled flights to Nairobi go to Wilson Airport and NOT Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. All passengers boarding flights at Wilson Airport are requested to check-in at Safarilink’s terminal. TFC does not have a presence at Wilson Airport.

 

Maasai Mara Flights

The Maasai Mara flights are operated in conjunction with Safarilink. They operate from Keekorok, Olkiombo, Musiara or Kichwa Tembo. The choice of whether Musiara or Kichwa Tembo will be dependent on the daily load. You must inform us at the time of booking, where the passenger is staying; with this information, Safarilink can inform the lodges and camps accordingly.

 

These flights are a combination of a TFC flight from the Serengeti to Tarime, a bus ride across the Tanzania/Kenya Border at Izebenia from Tarime to Migori and then a Safarilink flight from Migori to The Maasai Mara. Passengers must be in possession of their passports and the necessary travel documentation.

 

The above Maasai Mara and Nairobi flights are operated in conjunction with Safarilink. TFC has no operational control over Safarilink’s operation and whilst we do everything possible to accommodate any of their delays, we cannot be held responsible for any events that may so arise, as a result of a Safarilink delay.

 

Flights Operated in conjunction with Zanair

 

Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam Flights

All flights boarding in either Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam are operated in conjunction with Zanair. Passengers should check-in at the Zanair check-in counters/offices. Should you have any issues TFC is about to employ company “Ambassador” in Zanzibar and we already have two in Dar es Salaam, Danstan and Michael. For any problems they will be on duty to assist.

 TFC has no operational control over Zanair’s operation and whilst we do everything possible to accommodate any of their delays, we cannot be held responsible for any events that may so arise, as a result of a Zanair delay.

  

In-flight Catering

TF C provides a small snack lunch box for all our passengers  on any  flights departing from Arusha on Zanair or connecting to the Serengeti in the afternoon from a Zanair flight. This is at no extra charge.

  

FLIGHT DEPARTURE TIMES

As TFC operates a scheduled reservation system we have to create departure and arrival times for each sector. Due to the dynamic nature of our business no particular day is ever the same and often, the flight timings may vary a little from our published times. These times can often be earlier than published. We send out a Daysheet to the Operations Departments of our main tour operators, the camps, lodges and hotels. It is very important we know where your client is staying, in order that we can make sure that we can include their lodge/operator on our list. Everyone gets our list twice the day before, the first time shows the plan and allows all involved to double check for mistakes. Any errors can be conveyed to us by 1300hrs and we then publish our final Daysheet by 1600 hrs TZ time the day before. We then expect that all passengers will be at their respective airstrips 30 minutes prior to the departure time on the final Daysheet.  Should guests not be present, our pilot will try to contact our Duty Controller to see if we can track down the missing guests; if we cannot find them  or we cannot make contact, our pilots are instructed to wait for 10 minutes AFTER the departure time as published on the final Daysheet, should the guests still not have arrived by then, the aircraft will depart without them and TFC will not be responsible for any costs involved.

 

Please ask your guests to ALWAYS reconfirm with the Camp, Lodge, Hotel or Operator at least 24 hours before their flight in order that they can make sure they are all aware of any time changes.

 

Daysheets for flights on Sundays and Mondays are distributed by 1300hrs on Saturdays.
